Malia's training has been the best. She has studied with Delilah, Mish Mish, and her mentor, Nadira among several others. Her skills have been recognized by her peers: She was a runner-up at the 2008 Lilies of the Valley Belly Dance Competition.  Her discipline and passion to excel fuels her desires to always learn and grow as an artist.

Malia's style is fluid, emotional and incredibly powerful.  She believes everything in Middle Eastern dance is intriguing and works to incorporate into her dance anything she believes accentuates the music. Furthermore, this dancer loves raqs al assaya (cane dance), shamadan (candelabra) and many other traditional dances from the Middle East.
